Skillful Parenting

Parenting can be highly stressful and dysregulating, especially during difficult developmental transitions. Our parent coaches are available to provide guidance on navigating limit setting, boundaries, and emotional support with parenting.

We are available to talk by phone to support parents at a distance. We help parents engage in new behaviors with their teens and young adults to encourage increased independence and successful living strategies. We support parents in thinking about the best ways to emotionally and financially support their son or daughter.

Our coaches give practical advice on the most effective communication strategies based on adolescent and young adult brain development. We help parents stay regulated, disengage from power struggles, and validate their son or daughter’s experience without enabling problematic behaviors.
